Everyone’s got that one bottle they replace the second it runs dry. Could be your mixing go-to, your sipping standby, or just something that always impresses guests. What’s yours and why?
For me it’s definitely Lalo tequila. Smooth enough to sip but also holds up in a spicy marg.
Woodford Reserve. Makes a killer old fashioned and my dad always drinks it when he visits.
Grey Goose, 100%. It’s my go-to for espresso martinis and basically anything vodka-based.
I keep a bottle of Flor de Caña rum on hand. It’s smooth, sustainable, and works in both summer and winter drinks.
Tapatio Blanco. Criminally underrated and just clean as hell in cocktails.
Tanqueray 10. It’s citrusy and elevated, and people who say they don’t like gin usually change their minds after I pour it.
Rittenhouse Rye. Affordable, strong, and great in a Manhattan. Plus it makes me feel like a grown-up.
I always have some Reyka vodka in the freezer. It’s got a mineral quality I love, and it’s super clean.
