What’s the cocktail you always serve to new guests?
Vodka martini with a lemon twist. Cold, clean, and easy to batch if I’m hosting.
Spicy margarita. Jalapeño tequila if I have time to infuse it, Ancho Reyes if I don’t.
French 75s. Champagne makes everything feel celebratory, and they’re super adaptable.
Mezcal negroni. Smoky, bitter, mysterious. Also it sounds fancier than it is.
Whiskey sour with egg white. Always gets people talking and it’s secretly really easy to make.
Paloma. I keep Squirt and tequila on hand at all times. That’s the whole recipe.
Negroni sbagliato. With prosecco. It’s refreshing and always a good conversation starter.
Gin gimlet. No garnish, no nonsense. Fresh lime always!
Aperol spritz. I know it’s basic but it looks pretty and it works with literally every type of guest.
Old Fashioned. I pre-mix the sugar and bitters into a syrup so I can just pour and stir.
Amaro and tonic. Low-key, bitter, fizzy, and makes me feel cooler than I am.
Frozen margaritas in a blender. It’s chaos but it’s tradition at this point.
Cucumber gin & soda with a splash of lime. Barely a cocktail but it hits every time.
Mine’s a daiquiri, no question. Just rum, fresh lime juice, and homemade simple syrup.
I make espresso martinis for literally everyone. I even bought coupe glasses just for them.
Paper Plane. Bitterness, citrus, a little sweetness, and people always ask what it is.
Pimm’s Cup. Great for daytime hangs and super easy to riff on depending what fruit I have.
Rum punch that changes every time. No two are alike but they all get the job done.
Boulevardier. I call it my ‘whiskey Negroni’ for people who aren’t cocktail nerds.
