Best Drinks to Batch for a Summer Party

What’s your go-to pitcher drink (boozy or not) that never fails in the heat?

Palomas are super easy to batch. Just grapefruit juice, lime, tequila, and a splash of soda water right before serving.

Sangria’s the classic. You can make it with cheap wine and fruit, and everyone thinks you’re fancy.

Margaritas are my move, but I make mine with agave instead of triple sec. Less sweet, more tequila-forward.

If it’s a daytime party, I do a big pitcher of Aperol spritz. Just keep the prosecco cold and top it off when serving.

Tinto de verano. It’s like the lazy cousin of sangria. Just red wine + lemon soda over ice. Game changer.

Cucumber gin lemonade. Super fresh, and you can make it with gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a few muddled cukes.

I’ve done mojito punch with rum, mint simple syrup, lime, and club soda. Batches surprisingly well if you don’t add the soda until the end.

My tip: pre-mix the alcohol and citrus, and let people top with soda or tonic themselves. No more flat spritzes halfway through.

I tried batching espresso martinis once and it… kinda worked? Had to pre-dilute them and shake with ice before serving.

Brunch party? Go for a big jug of watermelon punch—rum, lime, mint, and watermelon juice. Feels summery as hell.

Honestly, even just a giant bottle of vodka lemonade with basil feels festive. Especially if you serve it in a weird jug.

Batching Negronis is elite behavior. Equal parts gin, Campari, and vermouth—just stir with ice before serving.

Frozen daiquiris in a cooler with a spout. It’s not elegant, but it is effective.

I batch spicy margaritas with a bit of Ancho Reyes mixed in. People lose their minds every time.

Don’t forget the non-alc batch! I do cucumber limeade with mint and let people spike it if they want.
